Mad Dog 007

Again this year there were loads of lovely comments, many on Facebook and Twitter but as usual loads of lovely emails. When you have organised the Mad Dog the post race feedback is so nice, especially when you are in the “Never again mood” ……and your Wife is telling you you’d be mad to do it again next year! Thanks so much to all who posted, tweeted and emails, Runners! you gotta love em!! Below is a really small selection from Mad Dogs old and new ……… This really is just a VERY SMALL SELECTION of what the Mad Dog team received ……
Feedback Mad Dog 007 *Adrian Shandley.... you are a legend! Mad Dog just gets better each year. Thank you to you and your team for putting on this fabulous event. Sitting back and thinking of the logistics of pulling together an event like this actually boggles my mind.... I managed to say a quick hello at the end and you were as cool as.... not a sign of stress or mither, just interested to know what I thought of the Rock Choir. They were brilliant! What really makes Mad Dog special for me is knowing that local charities will benefit from this run just as much, if not more, than the runners themselves. So once again thank you so much and Women on the Run will see you next year..... Helen Facebook *First Mad Dog and it lived up to everything we had heard. Fantastic organisation, loads of info pre-race, free parking, shuttle bus, the most amazing goody bag, great t-shirt with wonderful 'tail' on the back, encouraging musical support on course - all culminating in a magnificent medal. Well done to Adrian Shandley and his team. Excited about next year already. Fiona Facebook *Thank you so so so much for everything today, you looked after us brilliantly and I'll be eternally grateful for everything xxx you've helped me more than you know I can't thank you enough xxx KS message *Thank you and a big well done to everyone who organised and participated in today's run. Probably the best organised 10k I've ever done. Brilliant goody bag, medal and t-shirt. I'll be back for Hairy Potter XD Facebook *Thank you for such a fantastic race! So well organised, brilliant marshals and excellent music around the route..... See you next year  PER Facebook *Brilliant race, organisation and goodie bag! Thanks everyone involved in #MadDog10k ! PK facebook *Am sure I won't be the only one to say this. Truly great experience today. My 5th mad dog. Was a bit worried that due to the amount of people taking part this year that things maybe a bit crowded it my fears where put to rest when i walked into sports hall straight to the desk and got it straight away. So many friends taking part, it's like Southport's premier event ( no offence to other events in town) Massive thanks to the WHOLE team who put this on. And before someone comes on here with the it's a bit expensive that event rubbish look in the goodie bag. And just for good measure I took 2 mins of my PB and 6 mins of my previous mad dog times. So pleased I may even take the wife out. Thanks guys and see you next year. MD facebook *What a good race. Thank you for all the hard work put into it. HP Facebook *Thank you so much to Adrian and the whole Mad Dog team from Marple Runners, who came home with a sackful of PBs to go with the always amazing goody bags!Mad Dog has been well and truly menaced!  *Another fantastic event at mad dog today, personally not a great time but that just means I had more minutes to love!Just what I needed to kick start 2017, and what a goody bag!!That's how you organise a great event, and giving proper value for money, many others could learn from it. IP Facebook *Am not the first and will not be the last. Can I say best 10km ever. Mad Dog is amazing. Pb today got to meet one of my idols. The sun was shinning in fact quite warm once running. And the most amazing goody bag. Thanks all involved GG Facebook *Loved mad dog 10k today, even with no running for two weeks due to illness, I managed to smash my pb and everyone was just lovely. Only downside was having to work afterwards but home now so can route through my goody bag and enjoy the homemade pulled pork  :) KG Facebook *Thanks to everyone who made Mad Dog 007 happen today. You really are a credit to running. Great event. Great course. Great medal. Great tech shirts. Great goody bag. Great support! Thank you! MN Facebook *Mad Dog completed ! 56.30. Not too shabby. Great event. Thanks to the organisers and the Marshalls for all your hard work and the great weather. Well done everyone taking part today NL Facebook *Adrian Shandley, southport round table and all the fabulous volunteers. Thank you so much for a fantastic event. This was my second Maddog and I will certainly be running next year. Great organisation, great on course entertainment and amazing goodie bags. This old dog is a little frustrated that I was 9 seconds of a sub 60, but I blame the wind machine being turned off, also that the finishing post was being pushed further away as I ran towards it SJ Facebook *Thanks for the add Adrian, just wanted to say a huge thank you to everybody behind the scenes, the entertainment on the course, all the marshalls, and the volunteers in the hall for another fab day yesterday - the Mad Dog is by far the best event on the calendar! Hope to see you again next year! TF Facebook *Yesterday was my first Mad Dog. Like so many others at this time of year I've been plagued by virus after cold after flu after virus but there was no way I was missing this! Thank you so much Adrian Shandley for an amazing event. The best I've ever been too. Everything was seamlessly organised. Everyone had a smile on their face too from the bus drivers to the cadets at the finish The entertainment on the course was brilliant! The girl at about 6k was amazing, the choir, the drums (can they follow me round next time please!) I didn't get anywhere near a pb and I'm hurting something chronic today but still got a huge smile on my face. Thank you so much for a great day Hopefully see you all again next year in a semi fit condition!! Xxx  NB Facebook *From Jersey and Oldham... thank you, fab organisation, fab support... and the best goody bag in running!!
