Feedback Mad Dog 9
Good evening Adrian,I was one of the lucky people who was given a special place today via xxxx xxxxxxx and I wanted to say I’m hugely grateful and privileged to have taken part. It’s the best 10k race I’ve ever ran without question. The organisation and communication before the race was second to none, the entertainment was fantastic, the goody bags go without saying but the community spirit was incredible. The Facebook page was very entertaining and useful but the camaraderie on there helped so much. I asked about pacers and one runner kindly offered to pace me, pushing me through the race and getting me in nearly 50 seconds under the 50 minutes I’d been struggling to achieve. The race is a true credit to you and thank you once again for my place. I’ll be keeping a close eye on the ballot for next year!I hope you have a well deserved rest now.Kind regards,K CemailWonderful morning at the Mad Dog 10k with this bunch. As usual the best 10 we do in the year, so well organised, great atmosphere with all the bands and so well supported. A massive Thankyou must go to Adrian Shandley and all the hundreds of volunteers who do all this for local charities, already looking forward to next year!!MVFacebookAdrianThank you so much to you and your team. As always, a brilliant event. I had runners from London with me and they thought it was fantastic. Even the weather was on our side. Hope you now have a well earned rest. Regards S JEmail Hi, Adrian First of all I’d like to thank you for hosting such an incredible event, I have never enjoyed a run as much from the support around the course to the amazing goodies in the bag it was all incredible!M E EmailHi Adrian & all the Mad Dog 10k Team. Once again I was lucky enough to get a number for the race. The organisation & event as always was excellent. Huge credit to the whole team. You very kindly allowed me to run after I deferred due to injury in 2018. Still not 100% fit I chose to pace another runner to a sub 50 minute PB; a choice I’ve made at other races in the past. This only added to my enjoyment. I will be trying to enter again next year, fitness permitting, & fully intend to take my chance in the race for a place & pay accordingly but if I can help in this role in the future just let me know. Until the dogs resurface......Kind regards,S.T. email Adrian and the team,Just dropping you a quick email to congratulate you on another superb event. So much hard work but spectacular results to show. Just wonderful. Have a well earned beer! Adrian needs recognition for his amazing work..lets get him knighted xCMO FacebookAdrian, as i collared you sweaty & breathless at the finish again, can i just say once more a big “thank you so much” for putting myself & my running bud on your waitlist, secondly for finding us a place and thirdly for another phenomenal race.5th time for me & my fave race over any distance, i love everything about it & everything it stands for. The organisation is second to none, after last year you had the best toilet queues I've EVER experinced..... taking critism from last year & going with it & not only improving things but knocking it out of the park for no personal financial gain but for the pride of seeing such an awsome event unfold takes unparalleled dedication.Anyway enough of the waffle from me. Thank you a million times over & ill cherish my PB by 2.5 mins.Amy xxEmail Hi,No doubt you are all enjoying a well earned rest after yesterdays event but I just wanted to pass on my thanks to all the organisers and volunteers for another well run, friendly and enjoyable raceI have run many events and the Mad Dog is unique for it’s special atmosphere and it is obvious that it has been organised by runners for runnersOnce again thank you and well done – I hope to see you for Mad Dog 2020!Regards,CW Email Hi Adrian,Just wanted to send you a quick email to say thank you for all your efforts in making Sunday such an enjoyable event. I do a lot of races each year (mostly tri’s up to Ironman branded events) and this is right up there with the best organised and most friendly and fun! A great start to the 2019 calendar!Looking forward to the 10th anniversary already!CheersTL EmailAdrian and Wendy and all the team What a remarkable event fantastic in every way everybody at walk2run Blackley enjoyed it some great pb's were made yesterday we appreciate as a running group all the hard work that goes into such an amazing event that isn't run by a profit making organisation best 10k we could wish for and we will all vote for you in the awards Everybody at the club said for an extra donation we all would like chocolate bar in the goody bag would you consider as an idea for next time Kind regardsJDEmail I signed up to this race for the first time as it seemed like something different from your average 10k and had received a lot of praise in the running community. I first turned up and initially upon seeing the queue for the baggage and goody bag felt it could be a long day. The queue soon went down and once I was inside I was impressed by the sheer efficiency and speed with which the volunteers were sorting everything out. Absolutely textbook! I was back out in no time and into the extremely efficiently organised toilet queues. I have been at events with half the participants and waited 30 mins in the queue.... none of that here.! No messing and was away in plenty of time to enter my designated pen and in the race start ,again this was perfect, no bottlenecking issues and extemely hassle free. Having my favourite footballer of all time start the event was great too! The whole experience from start to finish was special from the bands to marshals and excellent range of fancy dress, and I would say the event is one of the few examples of an occasion actually living up to the hype. Thanks for the efforts in organising such a large scale event so efficiently. I for one will be ensuring this is now an annual fixture in my racing calender DH Facebook Another fabulous event - definitely the best race of the year! Thanks to all the Mad Dog organising team, the wonderful cheery marshals and bands, the crew in the hall and start/finish line and especially to Adrian Shandley and Wendy for all their hard work and dedication making the day so successful! Looking forward to next year already! Good morning Adrian,Thanks for the email , I’ll pass it on to the rest of the Woodlands team .Once more it was great fun being part of the Mad Dog team .In my younger days I used to run a lot of 10ks but I’ve never seen one where so many people put in so much effort to make it such a brilliant experience for the runners .We spoke to people from all over the country who were taking part some for the first time & others who had done it several times before & everyone was full of praise for the organisation of the event .Of course there can be hiccups on the day but everything that can be anticipated is taken care of.Lots of praise for the goodie bags too - everyone saying how good the contents are & loving the T-shirt’s & socks . Thank you for allowing us to be part of the legend that is Mad Dog .Best wishesLiz & the Woodlands ladies xxMARSHALThank you Adrian. This was my 8th Mad Dog & I loved it just as much as the previous years. I know how much time & effort you, your family & friends put in to make this a very, very special event. I have competed in many races all over England & I have to say, Mad Dog is the best race. Thanks again for yet another amazing Doggy Bag. Hope you all have a well deserved rest. Can’t wait till next year xxxLLKFacebookHi Adrian - a massive thank you and many congratulations to you and the 'millions' in your team for the fantastic MD9 yesterday. Bucket-loads of fun, laughter and enjoyment for all. I've run many MDs and each year they get better and better. It's brilliant that so many societies and organisations benefit from the MD events - such a fabulous worthwhile initiative.MWEmail Huge thanks to Adrian, the Round Table and all of the volunteers involved. I know a lot of people put in a huge amount of effort. Another excellent goody bag, I shall enjoy my Apple & rhubarb with a large gin Also a big shout out to the female cadet around 8km. Fantastic support from her!!! Amazing effort. KG Facebook page Just an amazing event. Well done to all involved. The only complaint I have is that I couldn’t believe how much was in the goody bag! I was so worried that I’d somehow been given the wrong bag and was thinking of how I’d return it when I’d properly checked it at my car - I’d had to rush off to collect my kids to see a rugby match! Upon checking it properly at my car, realising there wasn’t anything personal to someone else I thought OMG this is all included! Brilliant bag of goodies, brilliant race experience and fantastic effort by all concerned THANKYOU!HH Facebook page I can’t thank you enough for everything, your time, your energy and your dedication and that of all your volunteers. People who take it all for granted and don’t appreciate the time and effort involved are just selfish individuals. I’m sure the outpouring of thanks and happiness from the majority of Mad Dogs says it all. And as for that delightful cadet Tamika, wow!! What an impression she made on us all. Thanks General Mad Dogsbody, enjoy a few months rest xGD Facebook page I travelled from helensburgh in Scotland. Why because the Southport Mad Dog 10k is the best 10k race. The organisation is second to none .The atmosphere just simply the best. The Marshall s and there friendliness can't be beaten. Fun and games on the trains over 6 hours to get there could not take the shine of it. I will be ready and waiting for Mad dog number ten sorry Adrian and team I bet that is very close to swearing at the moment I will be nearly 69 then .Thank you so much for keeping this OAP . GoingMD Facebook page Another fabulous event - definitely the best race of the year! Thanks to all the Mad Dog organising team, the wonderful cheery marshals and bands, the crew in the hall and start/finish line and especially to Adrian Shandley and Wendy for all their hard work and dedication making the day so successful! Looking forward to next year already! KA Facebook It was such a fantastic event. Can’t imagine how much time and effort was put in behind the scenes. Anyone complaining or moaning (there’s always a few) need to attend other races and realise how this event knocks the other 10ks in the north west out of the water. The bands were a particular highlight for me. We all appreciate your efforts! You all deserve a medal yourselves for what you’ve done to get this event together.
