EVENT OVERVIEW
The MAD DOG 10K is for runners of all experiences, providing an unforgettable day along the (sometimes) sunny shores of Southport.  Not only are there live bands around the course, but each year there's a new event theme, and with that theme a fancy dress competition!!

In addition to the Mad Dog 10k we also have the Crazy Pups race dedicated to under 16s

MAD DOG 10K

The Mad Dog 10K in Southport is a friendly 10 km road race that welcomes runners of all abilities. Held early in the season on a noticeably flat—and therefore fast—course, it’s infamous for its obligatory fancy-dress theme each year. With a RaceCheck Gold Award and an average participant rating of 4.8 / 5, it’s widely regarded as one of the best 10k races in the UK.

MAD DOG PUPS

The Under-16 “Pups” Race ensures the Mad Dogs don’t hog all the fun—kids get their own 1 km dash tailored for budding runners. With the same friendly and fun atmosphere, youngsters of all abilities can take part (and often dress up, too). It’s a perfect intro to racing, packed with encouragement and excitement, and usually takes place just before the main 10K.
